Spring of 2012
Vision for Kenya was selected to receive a grant application for $14,000 from Valparaiso University Student led organization SALT. SALT is The Social Action Leadership Team (SALT) a social justice ministry. Students in SALT serve as the leadership team that invites Valpo students to engage in Christian service both near and far. SALT is involved in local volunteering, spring break service trips and church-based community organizing
Executive Director, Jacob Sitati will be meeting with the Director and Board of Lugulu Hopsital in March to begin arrangements for the water project to be funded by the SALT fundraising effort.
Summer of 2011
Executive Director Jacob Sitati while in Kenya was invited by AIC Githumu Hospital a Mission Hospital established to provide affordable and sustainable, holistic, quality health care services to review their strategic plan and potentially help them in sourcing equipment for their hospital.
Consideration is underway to support a youth project led by Samuel Ollunga, titled MDG Inc. It is a program that advances and engages in the realization of the Millennium Development Goals as well as helping ordinary people and communities across the world achieve their aims of obtaining and enhancing their source of livelihood and business enterprises towards greater wellbeing and socio-economic fulfillment.
Fall of 2011
Planned Directors Meeting Scheduled for November 2011 to review current project progress and determine future projects for the organization.
Summer 2009
(May to September)
Fordam Wara, an Attorney, was voted in as a director to serve on the Board of Vision for Kenya;

Jacob Sitati, Executive Director, came back from a 5 week trip to Kenya, where he met with the Lugulu hospital management team and various government stakeholders who will play a role in the facilitation process of equipment donated to the hospital;

Fall 2009
Vision for Kenya in collaboration with Monaco Youth Group USA and the African Students Club at North Park University host the annual Chicago Marathon dinner with elite athletes.

Directors Board meeting planned in October to discuss fundraising for the shipment of equipment solicited.

1) Financial support through contributions to the organization- As a Not for Profit organization, financial contribution from friends and well-wishers is our primary source of funding. Donations can be made directly to the organization through the “donate” button on the website. Contributions are processed through paypal for paypal users or directly via the credit card or bank transfers link provided for non paypal users. In addition to electronic contributions, payment can also be mailed in to : Vision For Kenya, c/o Jacob Sitati 161N Clark Street, Suite 4700, Chicago, Illinois 60601.

All contributions made to Vision for Kenya are tax deductible.

2) Equipment Donations and Pro bono or in kind donations- Vision for Kenya relies on in kind donations from organizations such as freight companies or storage companies that can subsidize our costs. Any referrals or partnering efforts are encouraged.

3) Sponsor events to raise public awareness – Organizations, institutions or individuals can host events for Vision for Kenya and help us in our outreach efforts. We are willing to collaborate with others with a common vision and goal in order to make a difference.

4) Network- We at Vision for Kenya believe there are others who may need information on Kenya and some of the efforts that are in place to help the country in various ways. Vision for Kenya can be a conduit or a resource for you to reach out and see where you can make a difference. Get in touch and we can connect you with resources and information that can go a long way in serving the community.
